The two procedures which need to be completed for the process of adopting a child will require more than three months to reach their final conclusion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The adoption process takes too long for women to use their maternity leave benefits because they need to wait until their adoption proceedings finish.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Changed After the Supreme Court Judgment (2026)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The issue was finally addressed by the Supreme Court in the case of <strong>Hamsaanandini Nanduri v.
