DEBT RECOVERY

- Debtor: Person who is obliged to pay back money that was borrowed by him.

Debt Recovery Process:
- Shall contact via phone in an attempt to arrange payment for the outstanding balance to release the payment.
- If the debtor does not resolve the debt, debt collection service shall update the client with details to forward the claim.
- The forwarded claim shall be signed by the client and sent to the lawyers for legal action.
- If the client allows the legal action and agrees to file suit, it is prepared and filed.
- If the debtor files a response, the process begins and a trial date is fixed. If the debtor does not respond within stipulated time a default judgement is filed by the lawyers.
- If a judgement is awarded in the client’s favour, lawyers will file a Writ of Attachment, an attempt to locate debtor’s assets shall be conducted, and initiate the steps to satisfy the judgement .
