PF AND ESI ACT

The government has created a major fund collection scheme i.e. Provident Fund to support and assist the working class for their future needs and provides higher interest rates to maintain funds in the government treasury. Additionally it provides the highest security.PF and ESI applicability on employees gives them the future security. 
 

A company which has 20 or more employees needs to register itself in the EPF scheme within one month of attending the minimum strength of 20 employees. It is not mandatory for an employee to become a member of the EPF scheme when the employee takes a salary exceeding Rs 15000 per month.

ESI Registration is essential for the employer who has 10 or more employees however the same is applicable for employees who have lower earnings. According to the Act all the employees whose salary is Rs 15000 or less per month, the same is needed to contribute 0.75% of their pay for ESI and 3.25% by the company for ESI.
