A few months ago, I was curious about escort services and found an account on Telegram. I sent a "Hi" message and received a list of services. I paid an initial amount for photos, but when they started asking for more money, I blocked and reported the account. Yesterday, I received a call from someone claiming to be a police officer. They knew my name and asked if I had made the payment, expressing shame and demanding to speak with my father. I disconnected and blocked the number, as I’m unsure if this is a scam. What should I do to protect myself and verify if this is a legitimate concern or just a scam?
Sir, you can report the scam to the local police and cybercrime unit and you should secure your personal accounts and avoid further engagement with unknown callers. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
