Is there a specific procedure required to wave off 6 months period in

We got married in Feb 2022 and now looking for mutual divorce. Marriage is registered in Kanpur Nagar. Is it possible to get wave off of 6 months from Kanpur or do we have to appeal for it in Allahabad high court ?
