I am a married woman currently studying and working part-time on a contract basis. I had come with my in-laws’ consent for my baby’s treatment, and now my visa will be valid again, so I plan to return to continue my education and work. However, my husband and his family are completely against this decision and are opposing my career. If I travel back alone to support myself, what steps should I take legally to protect myself and my rights? Please guide me on this matter.
You have every right to work and travel for your career. If your husband or in-laws stop you, file a complaint under the Domestic Violence Act. You can also ask for court protection and even live separately if needed. Keep proof of your job and travel plans to support your case. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
