I joined a company last month. The manager asked me to resign instead of terminating me, claiming they found out that my uncle had a criminal case filed, though I have not received any court summons. What are my rights?
A company cannot punish or terminate you for a criminal case involving your relative, especially if you have no summons or charges. Forced resignation is illegal.
