The girl's family is giving suicide and murder threats if I married their daughter. They got her forcefully engaged. She wants to marry me and my family is ready but her parents are like this and my family don't want any harm but we want some confidence from the law can we go ahead with court marriage without hesitation ?
Sir, we would like to inform you that forcing someone to marry against her will or without consent is a violation of human rights and also gender violence. We would suggest the girl to lodge a police complaint against such activity being performed by her own parents. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
