I am a Bangladeshi and want to marry an Indian citizen man. What do I need to do now to get married? And will I become an Indian citizen after marriage? What do I need to do to become a citizen?
You can marry an Indian citizen under the Special Marriage Act, 1954 with a valid passport and visa. Marriage does not automatically make you an Indian citizen. Under the Citizenship Act, 1955, you must legally live in India for the required years before applying. First get proper visa status, then apply for citizenship when eligible.
