I want to have an interfaith marriage. I am a Muslim, and my partner is a Hindu. We are both adults and residents of Bihar. How can we proceed with a court marriage, and where can we get it registered? I would also like legal assistance and guidance from the Lead India team regarding the complete process.
Since both of you are adults, you can legally marry under the applicable marriage laws. The procedure, notice requirements, and documentation will depend on the law under which you choose to register your marriage. Consult a family lawyer or the local Marriage Registrar in Bihar to understand the complete process, required documents, and timelines before proceeding.
