My intended partner and I are both serving in different parts of the country. I have been posted in Pithoragarh for the last three years. Can we complete a court marriage in Pithoragarh within a single day, considering that both of us face leave constraints? If not, what is the best course of action?
Court marriage under Special Marriage Act, 1954 cannot be completed in one day due to mandatory 30-day notice and verification process. If time is limited, Arya Samaj marriage is a quicker alternative, followed by registration. Court marriage should be planned in advance with proper leave arrangements from both sides.
