Dear Sir, My girlfriend has been locked in a room by her family, and they have taken all her documents. We do not have photos of the documents either, but we want to get married. What should we do? Please help us.
Sir, if your girlfriend is locked in a room and her documents are withheld, immediately contact the police for her safety. Report the situation to the local police station. Once she is safe, consult a lawyer to help you with the marriage registration under the Special Marriage Act, 1954. If documents are missing, the lawyer will guide you on how to proceed. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
