In my husband's new passport, our surname has been incorrectly printed as "MONDAL" instead of "MANDAL" in the spouse's details. However, in my passport, both our surnames are correctly mentioned as "MANDAL." Our Aadhaar cards, PAN cards, and bank records also reflect the correct surname as "MANDAL." Will this error cause any issues while applying for or obtaining a visa?
A spelling error in your husband's surname on his passport may create issues during visa processing or immigration if it does not match other identity documents. He should apply for a passport correction as soon as possible. Until the correction is made, keep supporting documents such as Aadhaar, PAN, marriage records, and your passport to explain the discrepancy if required.
