Dear Client, No, the Maharashtra state amendment does not apply to contractors working inside a Central Government establishment. Under the Contract Labour Act, 1970, the “appropriate government” for a Central Government establishment is the Central Government itself, not the state government. Therefore, the rules and thresholds set by the Central Government apply. For central spheres, the threshold generally remains 20 workmen. You must follow the Central Act guidelines when executing contracts for central bodies, regardless of their physical location in Maharashtra Thank you for contacting us.
