Can I reclaim seized old bike for private storage only?
My 15-year-old bike was seized in East Delhi by Pineview Technology, a scrapping agency under MCD orders, following NGT and Supreme Court directives. I have emotional attachment to it. If I give an undertaking not to drive or park it publicly, can I legally reclaim it to store privately?
You can file a written undertaking with the RTO and scrapping agency stating that the bike will be kept privately and won’t be used on public roads. If they deny, approach the Motor Vehicles Department or file a representation with the court requesting release based on emotional value and private storage.
