How can I correct DOB in certificate and service book?

I passed CBSE 10th in 2009, but my date of birth on the certificate was incorrect. I applied for correction in 2015, but it was rejected. I then approached the High Court, which directed CBSE to correct it as per my birth certificate. Meanwhile, I joined the central government, where the DOB in my service book matches the incorrect one on my 10th mark sheet. I assumed the DOB in the service book could not be corrected, so I left both unchanged. Now that I’ve completed 8 years of service, can I still correct my DOB in both the 10th certificate and the service book using the old High Court order?

You can still correct your date of birth using the High Court order. File a contempt petition if CBSE has not complied. For the service book, submit a representation with the court order and birth proof. If rejected, approach the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT). Timely legal action and documented justification can help override the usual five-year correction limit. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
