How to handle false dowry case and fake bills?

In February 2023, they filed a false police complaint alleging dowry demand and claimed they paid us ₹1.5 lakhs. The bills provided were fake. The local police ignored our evidence and forced us to pay. How should we handle this false allegation and the fake bills?
