How to deal with unfair trade practice?

What legal action can be taken against an unregistered immigration consultant who is neither providing a work permit nor refunding the money, despite complaints already registered on the eMigrate portal, MCA, and National Consumer Helpline? Please guide regarding sending a legal notice and the applicable charges.

Dear client, You can firstly send a legal notice to the immigration consultancy demanding refund and compensation within a fixed time. If there is no response then you can file a consumer complaint before the Consumer Court in case of deficiency in service and unfair trade practice. You may also lodge a police complaint for cheating and fraud and go to the cyber cell for it if payments were made online. An advocate will be able to prepare the notice and conduct the case; fees will generally differ based on the complexity. If you have any query please feel free to contact us.
