Can court marriage be done directly without cultural ceremony?

Hello Sir, I am currently residing in New Zealand and have been a permanent resident there for the past two years. I want to come to India, specifically Punjab, to get married through a court marriage. I do not wish to have a traditional Sikh marriage and only want legal marriage documentation. After the court marriage, I plan to apply for a partner visa for my spouse to join me in New Zealand. Is it possible to obtain a court marriage certificate without a cultural marriage? Can court marriage be done directly without any traditional ceremony?
