Will interfaith marriage affect ST job benefits or religion?

My sister is a Hindu (Scheduled Tribe) and has secured a central government job in the Food Corporation of India (FCI) under the ST reservation category. She now wishes to marry a Muslim man (from the OC category) under the Special Marriage Act. They do not intend to change their religions. Will this marriage affect her job or benefits in the future? What will be the religion of their children? Is she required to adopt Islam after marriage?

Your sister can marry a Muslim man under the Special Marriage Act without changing her religion. This will not affect her central government job or ST status. She is not required to convert, and their children can follow either religion. Her reservation benefits remain safe unless she voluntarily renounces her ST identity or converts.
