Can someone be liable for property claim after 25 years?

A is the owner of a flat. He gave this flat to B (A’s relative) for use only. B sold the house to C without informing A. C then sold the flat to D. D was unaware of the issue between A and B and purchased the flat in good faith from C. If A claims the property 25 years after D’s purchase, is D liable to return it? Can A claim the property after 25 years? Is there any time bar applicable? (B is untraceable now.) Please help!

In this case, D’s purchase is protected because they bought in good faith. A can claim the property within 12 years from the sale date due to the limitation period. If B is untraceable, A may still file a civil suit for recovery of the property, but the court will consider the time lapse. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
