What should I do after cheque bounce and court warrant?

I borrowed ₹2,00,000 from a dealer through a cheque on a very high interest rate. I couldn’t repay it, and the cheque bounced a few months ago. I received court notices but didn’t respond, and now a warrant has been issued. I don’t know what to do next. Please guide me.

Immediately apply for bail through a criminal lawyer and appear in court. Ignoring the notice worsens your case. After bail, you can defend your cheque bounce case under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act. Try negotiating a settlement or payment plan with the lender to avoid conviction.
