How to legally deal with harassment and property issues?

I live in Punjab, and my brother-in-law and his wife are constantly creating issues, planning to force us to leave so they can claim rights to the property. My brother-in-law often abuses my husband, who supports me, as I am not wrong and have never misbehaved. He provokes my husband by using abusive language toward me. Two days ago, he abused my husband in front of a client and physically hurt him. Now, I feel insecure in my in-laws' home, and my husband, child (1 year old), and I are all insecure. What should we do?

In this case, you should file a police complaint for harassment, physical assault, and abuse. If you feel insecure, consider applying for a restraining order. You may also approach a family court for protection. Keep evidence of the incidents, including recordings or witnesses. Legal action can be taken against your brother-in-law for his behavior.
