Why is my brother facing legal issues over a breakup?

My brother loved a girl from a lower caste, but for some reason, they broke up. Now the girl has filed a case against my brother, and he was sent to remand but later released on bail. A few months later, some constables came to our house and said the girl is missing. Is there a chance that my brother could face another case? How can he get rid of this case and the girl?
