If your employer has not paid salary for 3 months and issued a cheque that got dishonoured, you have strong legal remedies. You can send a legal notice for recovery of salary and cheque amount. Under the Negotiable Instruments Act, cheque bounce is a criminal offence. You can file a case under Section 138 NI Act and also approach the Labour Commissioner or Labour Court for recovery of unpaid wages. Keep salary records, offer letter, and cheque proof as evidence.
