Should I ignore 271 notices after tax closure proceedings initiated?

Hi Sir, We received a 147 notice about 2 years ago, and last year, the closure proceedings were initiated with no tax payable by me. In fact, there is a return/refund available in the closure statement. After the closure proceedings, 271 notices were issued, but our tax agent suggested ignoring them since the closure proceedings were initiated and the tax payable is 0. Please advise if these can be ignored or if any action needs to be taken, as we are getting reminders with tight deadlines. Our tax agent mentioned that these are autogenerated emails and can be ignored. Please advise.

The notices could be ignored if the closure proceedings were indeed initiated, and no tax is payable. However, you should consult a tax lawyer or accountant to ensure that these notices are truly auto generated and will not affect your record or cause legal issues. Documentation of the closure proceedings is crucial. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
