How to complete property resale if buyer is in jail?

I am a retired employee living in a rented house. A person fraudulently purchased my property worth ₹50 lakhs by paying only ₹4 lakhs and registered the property through my wife in my absence, promising to clear a ₹40 lakh housing loan, which has now accrued ₹8 lakhs in interest. The person is currently in jail but has agreed to transfer the property back through a well-wisher. A buyer is now interested. Please advise how to proceed with the sale.

Proceed by getting the jailed person to execute a correction/cancellation deed through legal permission from prison authorities. Engage a lawyer to draft the deed, take jail permission for registration, and clear the outstanding bank loan before the sale. Once the property is legally returned to you, proceed with selling to the new buyer. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
