Is money recovery possible in online fraud?

Last month, I came across a handwritten jobs / online work-from-home opportunity and was cheated of around ₹8,000. I immediately filed a bank complaint and a cybercrime complaint. Also, in 2023, I lost ₹8 lakhs in an investment and later came to know that it was a cryptocurrency fraud through a Telegram platform. I filed a cybercrime complaint in that case as well, but there has still been no recovery. Could you please genuinely guide me on whether recovery is possible in both cases? The first case is recent and happened last month, while the second case occurred in October 2023. Please help me recover my hard-earned money. I am a small tuition teacher. I still have evidence, including transactions and chats.

You have done the right thing by filing complaints. For the recent ₹8,000 fraud, regularly follow up with the cyber police and your bank—there is a good chance of recovery if the account is frozen quickly. For the ₹8 lakh crypto fraud, recovery is difficult but still possible through court action. File an FIR if not done, send legal notices, and approach a Magistrate for proper investigation.
