Can college keep documents without admission or full payment?
I appeared for the DELED exam by BSEB and was allotted a distant government college. I paid fees for a college change and submitted original documents. Later, I was again allotted the same college, but I didn’t join. Now, they are refusing to return my documents unless I pay the full fee and take admission. What can I do?
They cannot legally hold your original documents if you do not want to take admission. File a complaint with the education board and also submit a written complaint to the District Education Officer. You can also send a legal notice to the college and approach the Consumer Court if needed. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
