How to protect myself before visiting debtor’s house for repayment?

The person who owes me money is now absconding. I intend to go to his house and talk to his relatives. He says that if I go home, he will file a case against me. How should I give a letter to the police station in advance to avoid problems? Can you provide me with the format? Can he take any legal action against me for politely visiting his house and talking to him? What legal precautions should I take when going to his house and speaking to his relatives?

If the debtor is absconding, you can send a legal notice requesting repayment. Before visiting his home, it is advisable to file a complaint with the police to avoid harassment. Make sure you remain respectful. If he files any case against you, you may seek legal counsel to protect your rights. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
