What legal action can be taken against Illegal termination?

I was terminated from my current company due to my inability to provide my prior company’s relieving letter. Because of this, my background verification was not cleared. However, when I joined, I informed HR about this matter and sent an email to HR. Nothing was hidden from my end. But after one month, the company terminated me without providing any termination documents or a termination letter. Kindly guide me.
