How can NRIs marry in India while living in the UK?
I have a query. My partner and I plan to get married soon, probably in October or November 2025. We have both been living in the UK for the past 3–4 years. Could you please advise how we can get married soon, what documents are required, and whether we need to obtain any documents from the UK for marriage in India? Also, please let me know the expected timelines.
Dear client, If you both are Indians living in the UK and both of you are Indian citizens then you will be able to register your marriage in India according to the Special Marriage Act. Collect required documents such as passports, address proof, birth certificates, single status affidavits etc. If you have a foreigner for a partner, then you require an NOC from his/her embassy. The process takes about 30–45 days. If you have any query please feel free to contact us.
