Will a surname spelling difference affect my PG admission?
There is a one-letter difference between my surname and my parents' surname in all my educational records, including my Class 10, Class 12, and undergraduate degree certificates. Their surname contains the letter "G", whereas mine contains the letter "D". However, our Aadhaar cards contain the correct surname. Will this discrepancy create any issues during my postgraduate admission or studies?
A minor difference in the spelling of your surname may create issues during document verification. You should get the discrepancy corrected at the earliest or keep supporting documents explaining the variation. If correction is not immediately possible, you may submit an affidavit or other documents, if required by the concerned institution, to establish that both names refer to the same person.
