What address proof is required for a UK citizen under the Special Marriage Act?
I am an Indian citizen residing in Bangalore and want to marry a UK citizen under the Special Marriage Act. The SRO requires UK address proof for my partner. However, UK passports do not mention the holder’s address, and she does not have a driving licence or any government-issued ID showing her address. She only has utility bills (gas, electricity, and water) showing her address. Can these be accepted as proof of address? The SRO is not accepting these documents.
