Can property be transfer through Power of Attorney?

I currently own a property in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and I have the sale deed. Is it possible to draft a Power of Attorney in India for my sister to transfer the property to my son and update the registry records without either me or my son coming to India?

Yes, you can give a Power of Attorney under the Power of Attorney Act, 1882 to your sister in India. She can act on your behalf to transfer property to your son through a registered gift or sale deed and update records. POA must be properly notarized, stamped, and registered. Ownership transfer is only valid through registered deed. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
