How can I correct wrong Khasra number in documents?

Hello Sir, we bought a piece of land three years ago with proper documents. Recently, the Patwari informed us that the Khasra number mentioned in our documents is 18, but the correct number is 16. Is there any legal way to correct the documents and fix the issue?

You can apply for rectification of the sale deed through a registered correction deed with the seller. Take help from a local property lawyer and the sub-registrar’s office. Get a report from the Patwari or Tehsildar confirming the correct Khasra number, it will support your correction application. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
