What options do I have for incorrect property deed details?

I purchased a property in 2009. After 15 years, I found that the wrong flat number is mentioned in the deed, and the size of the flat does not exist on that floor. When I contacted the vendor for rectification, he showed no interest. I paid more than 9 lakhs to him during the registration, which is mentioned in the registry document. What options do I have now? I was the first owner of the flat from a local builder, and I have the following documents: Registration deed/agreement paper/copy of cheque, Electricity and water connection with the building’s name but not the floor, Aadhar card/RC with the correct floor mentioned, I have stayed in the flat for 7 years and still possess it, Copy of the payment receipt from the water department, where the vendor paid and the correct address was mentioned, but now the building address no longer mentions the floor name.

To resolve the issue of the wrong flat number, you should file a petition in the civil court to seek rectification of the registry deed. As you have valid documents, including the original registration deed, payment receipts, and proof of ownership, the court may order a correction or adjustment to your property papers.
