Whose signatures are required on the consent affidavit for property sale?
XYZ HUF is the seller of the property. Their family consists of Mr. XYZ, his wife, his son, and his daughter-in-law. Whose signatures are required on the consent affidavit stating that they have no objection to the sale of the property and will indemnify the buyer in case of any adverse claimants in the future? Is it all four, or three excluding the daughter-in-law?
The consent affidavit for property sale should be signed by Mr. XYZ, his wife, and his son (the Karta) as they are the legal owners or contributors to the property. The daughter-in-law does not need to sign unless she is an owner or co-owner. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
