Why am I receiving a handwritten copy of the registered GPA?

When I applied for a certified photocopy of the registered GPA (2002) at the sub-registrar office, I received a handwritten true copy of the registered GPA. This means I’m not getting an exact photocopy of the original document; instead, I’m getting a handwritten copy, where the contents of the GPA are typed on plain paper, and details like stamp paper, signatures of parties, and LTM of parties are all handwritten. At the end, it says "YATHANAKALU," with signatures stating "copied by, read by, compared by." Please clarify why I’m getting a copy like this and whether it is equivalent to the original since the seller's signatures are handwritten by the person who copied the document.

A handwritten true copy of a registered document is not the same as an original certified copy. It may be prepared for record-keeping, but it lacks the authenticity of an original document. You should request a certified copy from the sub-registrar, which will be an official photocopy with proper stamps and signatures. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
