How to correct father’s name mismatch across all official documents?

In all of my documents — such as my Aadhaar card, PAN card, voter ID, Class 10 and 12 certificates, and university records — my father’s name is written as “SK ANWAR.” However, in all of my father’s own documents, his name appears as “ANWAR ALI.” I would like to know what steps I should take to correct or reconcile this mismatch. Specifically, what should I do during the Voter Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process, and what is the correct procedure for other official records such as Aadhaar, PAN, or educational certificates?

Your father’s name appears differently in your documents (“SK Anwar”) and his own (“Anwar Ali”). To fix this, make a notarized affidavit stating both names belong to the same person. Use this affidavit to update records during the Voter Revision (Form 8) and at Aadhaar, PAN, and educational offices for correction. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
