Will mother’s different surname in documents cause problems in future?

My mother’s name in her documents like Aadhaar is Rajkumari Gupta. But in all my documents, her name is mentioned as Rajkumari Aggarwal. This mistake happened because my school recorded the same surname for my mother as my father's. Will this cause any problems in the future? What should be done in this case?

This usually is not a big legal problem. If all your documents show your mother’s name as Rajkumari Aggarwal and only Aadhaar shows Rajkumari Gupta, then it's better to update the Aadhaar card to match the rest of the documents. If the reverse is true, update your documents to match Aadhaar. In either case, an affidavit confirming both names belong to your mother will help.
