How to reapply marriage registration after SDM rejection?

Hi, I applied for online marriage registration, but it was rejected by the SDM because the affidavit was not in the correct format and the uploaded documents were not clear. My question is: what are my next steps, how can I re-apply as the online status still shows “in progress,” and what about the ₹1500 I have already paid?

Dear client, you should correct the affidavit format and upload clear documents and reapply or update the application through the marriage registration portal or SDM office. Is the status still shows “in progress” then contact the SDM office for correction or for fresh submission instructions. The ₹15,000 fee is usually non-refundable, but sometimes it may be adjusted for re application depending on the local use. I hope this answer your query, for further queries contact us.

If SDM Marriage Registration Portal has rejected your application due to incorrect affidavit format and unclear documents, you must first correct the defects. You should prepare a fresh affidavit in the prescribed format, upload clear scanned documents, and re-submit the application. If status shows “in-progress,” contact the SDM office to get it officially rejected/closed. The ₹1500 fee can usually be adjusted or carried forward for re-application, depending on state rules.
