Which documents can a Nepali citizen get in India?

My father came to India in 1998 and married my mother in 2003. Since then, he has been continuously residing in India. He is a Nepali citizen by birth but has been unable to obtain any Indian documents. The local authorities have informed us that a marriage certificate cannot be issued. What documents can he legally apply for offline in this situation?

Your father should first approach the concerned authorities to determine his legal status and the documents he is eligible to obtain based on his nationality and residence in India. Since he is a Nepali citizen by birth, the applicable legal provisions and documentation requirements will depend on his immigration and residency status. Consult a lawyer experienced in citizenship and immigration matters for better course of action. For further legal assistance contat us on our helpline number.
