Can I seek compensation for property damage after tenant vacates?

NoBroker was managing my property and was responsible for inspecting and maintaining it, for which they charged a percentage of the monthly rent as a management fee. Now that the tenant has moved out, NoBroker provided me with a report stating that everything was in good condition. However, I have now inspected the property and found it in very poor condition. According to NoBroker's quotation, the repair work will cost approximately ₹70,000. What legal action can I take, and how can I recover the repair costs?

If NoBroker was contractually responsible for property inspection and management, review the management agreement and preserve the inspection report, photographs, repair quotation, tenant records, and communications. Send NoBroker a written complaint seeking clarification and compensation for any proven negligence. If they refuse, you may pursue appropriate consumer or contractual remedies, depending on the agreement and circumstances. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
