How can I marry a muslin girl?
As a Hindu male, I wish to marry a Muslim female, and both of us are in agreement. However, we prefer not to disclose our intention to anyone before the marriage. What steps should we take in this situation?
As per section 4 of the Special marriage Act a Hindu man can marry a muslim women both the parties are capable of giving consent and as per section 5 & 6 of the above mentioned act both the parties has to give notice to the area marriage officer and the area should include one of the place where spouses are living. And you can choose a less familier location for the notice of marriage to be published .
As a Hindu male, if you want to marry a Muslim female in India, you are required to perform court marriage under the Special Marriage Act, of 1954 which allows interfaith marriages without conversion. You are required to submit a Notice of Indented Marriage at the local Marriage Registrar's office. This notice is publically displayed for 30 days which could cause the disclosure but I suggest you choose a less familiar location of the registrar's office. You should also consult a lawyer who can help you to handle any objection which might arise.
Sir, if both the partners are of legal age to get married with proper consent then you may perform court marriage under Special Marriage Act by visiting marriage registrar office. The required documents are proof of age and residence, passport sized photographs and an affidavit. If you prefer not to disclose the marriage before it happens, you can keep it private until the formal ceremony and registration are completed.
