When you make a notice to the marriage registrar for the marriage they make a publication of your application in the public for a period of 30 days so that they can receive any objection , in case if no objection received the application is granted and the marriage registrar then give permission to the couples for the marriage , so there is no any legal framework that the notice shall go to your parents .

Under the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, it is not legally required to send a notice to the parents for a court marriage. The law only requires the couple to give notice to the Marriage Officer of their intent to marry. However, while not mandatory, informing the parents may be a good idea to maintain transparency and avoid misunderstandings. Always ensure that both parties give their full consent before proceeding with the marriage.

Under the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, it is not mandatory to send a notice to the parents in the case of a court marriage. However, the marriage registrar may issue a notice of the intended marriage to the parties involved (the bride and groom) to ensure there are no objections. Parents may be informed if they are involved in the process or if the parties request it, but it is not a legal requirement. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
