What to do if political party obstructs Special Marriage Act?

Hi Sir, my fiancé and I applied for the Special Marriage Act in Bodhan, Hyderabad. After around 45 days of application, we went for the registrar's signature; however, a political party objected on the day and threatened that they would not allow it in their area. We have completed our responsibilities but are still unable to get married. All our families have agreed to our Hindu-Muslim marriage. Please help us with what we can do next.

You should approach the local police to file a complaint regarding the obstruction by the political party. If the registrar is unable to process your marriage due to external pressure, you can file a writ petition in the High Court for intervention, ensuring that your legal rights are protected and the marriage is completed under the Special Marriage Act.
