Since you and your girlfriend are from the same caste but practice different religions, you would most likely need to register your marriage under the Special Marriage Act, 1954. This act allows for interfaith marriages and provides a legal framework for couples from different religious backgrounds to solemnize their marriage.

Sir, as you and your girlfriend belong to the same caste but practice different religions, your marriage would be governed by the Special Marriage Act, 1954. The required documents are proof of age and residence, passport sized photographs and an affidavit. It is advised to consult an expert lawyer who will assist you with the smooth procedure of court marriage. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
