Can I get police protection after publishing my marriage publicly?

My main concern is that if I publicly expose my marriage by publishing it in a subscribed newspaper like Lead India, can I get police protection for my family? Can inter-religious marriage be done without notice? I know there are ways to change the Aadhar address, but what are the conditions for changing it? How much do you charge for services related to the Special Marriage Act, from the first day until my family receives police protection? Since the process of the Special Marriage Act takes 30-40 days and I have to be present twice, but my partner is not able to be present because his family will have doubts, and if we do stay together, the police might take strict action.

If you publish your marriage in the newspaper, police protection might be provided if there is a genuine threat. Inter-religious marriages under the Special Marriage Act do not require family consent. You can file for protection under the law. Charges for the Special Marriage Act vary; consult a lawyer for details. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
