Can I remarry in court to get online certificate?
I got married in 2018 by following all rituals. After 6 months, I also did a court marriage in the same year at the Jamshedpur Court. It was an offline process. I received a valid marriage certificate, as confirmed by a lawyer, though it's not available online like the ones shown in your YouTube channel. My question is: Can I do another court marriage in the same or a different state just to get an online-verifiable marriage certificate? If possible, I would keep the first certificate confidential and not use it elsewhere. Please guide me.
You cannot do court marriage again just to get an online certificate. Since you already have a valid court marriage certificate, even if offline, it is legally acceptable. You can apply to the concerned court or marriage registrar for a certified digital copy, or ask if your record can be updated online. For further legal assistance contact us on our helpline number.
